Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted.
How to Request Account Deletion
Launch the Weino app on your Android device and make sure you are logged in.
Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation) and tap on "Settings" or the settings icon.
Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" option and tap on it.
Read the confirmation message carefully, then confirm that you want to permanently delete your account.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your Weino account, the following data will be permanently deleted:
- Account Information: Email address, username, password, and authentication credentials
- Profile Data: Profile picture and all profile settings
- Calendar Data: All your availability slots and calendar information
- Social Connections: All friend connections, friend requests (sent and received)
- Matches: All matches (pending, accepted, and expired) you created or participated in
- Messages: All messages and chat conversations in match threads
- Notifications: All notification history
- Preferences: Language, country, timezone, and all app settings
- Push Notification Tokens: FCM tokens for push notifications
- Premium Subscriptions: Any active premium subscriptions will be cancelled (iOS only - not applicable for Android)
Data Retention Period
Immediate Deletion: Most of your data is deleted immediately when you request account deletion.
Backup Retention: Some information may remain in our backup systems for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes. After 90 days, all backup copies are permanently deleted.
Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained longer for service improvement purposes.
What Happens After Deletion
- You will be immediately logged out of the app
- You will no longer receive any notifications from Weino
- Your username will become available for other users
- You will need to create a new account if you want to use Weino again in the future
- You cannot recover any deleted data
